In 2021 Hope for Mtshabezi, Inc. (HFM) opened its first clinic.  The  JoNa Clinic at Mayezane, (named in honor of  Jona and Nana Mlotshwa parents of  Founder Hlengiwe Lindani Mlotshwa-Sibanda).  Hope for Mtshabezi was founded in 2005 by a group of Zimbabwean professionals in the USA diaspora. Mrs. Hlengiwe Lindani Mlotshwa-Sibanda, Dr. Ernest Simela, and Mrs. Doreen Khumalo-Moyo.  The organization grew to include other Board Members and donors, who work tirelessly for the organization’s success.  The clinic has evolved from a long history of partnering with the community, other institutions,  rural clinics, and hospitals in the area (2005-2008), and (2008-2016) setting up free Community Health Outreach events in different areas of the Gwanda District.
