There is a beautiful saying that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Recently at JoNa Clinic, we have been blessed to actually see that evidence manifest through your overwhelming generosity.
We want to take a moment to look back and say a profound thank you to every single supporter who has stepped up over the last few months to back our dual missions of community care and physical expansion.
An Unforgettable Day for Our Gogos and Khulus
Our Elderly Outreach Day was an absolute triumph. In rural areas, our grandmas (Gogos) and grandpas (Khulus) are the anchors of our families, yet they are not always thought about or prioritized regularly due to geographic isolation and mobility issues.
Because you listened and gave, we were able to break that isolation. Seeing the smiles on the faces of our 110 elderly neighbors as they reconnected over good food, vibrant music, and shared stories was a medicine that no pharmacy can replicate. A special thank you to our 92-year-old keynote speaker, Mrs. Nellie Mlotshwa, whose words of faith left an indelible mark on all of us. You didn’t just fund an event; you restored dignity.
Turning the “Impossible” into “Possible”
While we were celebrating our elders, our construction plans for the new Post-Partum Unit were also moving forward behind the scenes.
When we first announced our $50,000 USD goal and our need for thousands of bricks, tons of quarry stone, and hundreds of bags of cement, the task felt monumental. Navigating the unpredictable April rains and tricky rural roads made the logistics seem daunting.
But as we always say: Our Father the Provider owns the cattle on a thousand hills. With God, the word “impossible” quickly becomes “possible.” Thanks to your financial support, our first 21 tons of river sand have been delivered, and we are actively finalizing the transport of bricks and quarry from Bulawayo.
The Journey Continues
